Item Description
Glassy light purple, fluorite cubes to 1.2 cm comprise this impressive LARGE CABINET piece from the famous Blackdene Mine of England. The fluorites are transparent and translucent and it looks like that all of the crystals are interpenetrating twins. Scattered metallic-gray cuboctahedral galena crystals to 1.2 cm are a super accent. This very fine specimen is very nearly pristine, with only trivial periphery wear. Amazing for such dense coverage. Classic material from a classic locale in Weardale. Valued at $1500-2000. SUPER fluorescence. 5.1 pounds or 2.3 kilos. The base has been sawed to enhance the dramatic display quality.
