Item Description
Striking, beautiful, lustrous, transparent to translucent, densely intergrown, blue-green fluorite octahedrons with frosted faces form an impressive large pineapple from a NEW FIND at this obscure skarn-type Pb-Zn mine, where mining started in 2008 (MINDAT). The octos reach 5.0 cm on edge. MINDAT does not list fluorite from this boron-rich deposit. A dramatic 360-degree piece, that is in great shape. Only one gently bruised octo tip and basal contacting and periphery wear are noted, and are certainly only modest detractions to this rare and excellent large fluorite. Bright purple fluorescence. Value? We feel $1500 is fair for rare style, quality and size.
