Item Description
A rich, dramatic and sculptural large fluorite plate from recent finds at this famous mine. Classic, emerald-green GEMMY fluorite cubes with preferential etching cover the quartz point coated matrix. The luster is excellent, fluorescence superb, and the plate is rich covered by many intergrown crystals. There are numerous pairs of interpenetrating twins, containing crystals ranging up to 2.3 cm on edge. In sunlight or even halogen lights, they exhibit day-glow fluorescence and shows purple and green at the same time. The fluorites are in outstanding condition, for all the crystal density, with just a few gently bruised corners. Just a fine, aesthetic piece from modern operations here (collected in the last 16 years). These are gorgeous pieces, and I think extremely cheap for what you get in significance and color impact for an English fluorite. That will end (when the mine closes again - reportedly after this season) and prices go up. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $225, included for free. Valued $1500-1750.
