Item Description
Gem, pretty blush-purple, interpenetrating fluorite cubes, to 2.0 cm, are festooned on the large undulating 3-dimensional matrix on this very rich and showy classic from this famous Weardale Mine. The gemminess of these crystals is spectacular and it appears that, every crystal on here is an interpenetrating twin. The crystals fluoresce under any bright light! The specimen is essentially pristine, except for the acceptable periphery wear on this fine large piece. This famous Weardale fluorite mine opened in the early 1970s and closed in 1999. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection # 1078. Valued at $1000-1250. MUCH better in person!
