Gemmy, pretty blush-violet fluorite cubes, to 2.2 cm, with striking sharp phantoms and satin lustre faces are artistically set in a 7.5 cm vug on the dramatically sculptural large specimen of intergrown calcites crystal on sandstone matrix. The impressive crowning calcite is 9.6 cm long and the striking doubly terminated calcite on one side is 10.3 cm long. The isolated satellite cube is a nice accent. A VERY RARE and complementary accessory are the numerous tiny, sparkly brassy marascite crystals peppered about. Mineral specimens are RARE from this much less well-known mine, west of the core of famous fluorite mines in Harding County. Uncommon rich blue fluorescence. The mine operated from the 1960s with an unknown closing date, probably in the 1980s or 90s (MINDAT). An exceptional, very sculptural and RARE large combination from the Gaskins Mine from the Dick Heck Collection, a well-known Illinois and Mexico collector. Valued at $1250-1500.
