Item Description
A dramatic large fluorite octahedron from the recent, very highly touted finds at Riemvasmaak, South Africa. This imposing sharp, gemmy and lustrous, unique grass-green fluorite looks like a green Great Pyramid at Giza with multiple terminations! This impressive octahedron is a complete all-around and pristine floater. The etched "cavern" in the front is where the tomb robbers entered. Contacting and heavy etching on the back have no damage, per se. This is defintely a large and fine single crystal from this find. The color is INTENSE, deep green, very nice! Mark my words, these are contemporary classics. Valued at $1000-1500. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!! SOMEDAY, we will look back on these the way we do now for Illinois fluorites of 10-20 years ago even, and wonder why they were so darned cheap, mark my words
