Item Description

Gorgeous steel-blue, gem, very glassy fluorite cubes, to 1.5 cm, are richly strewn on this dramatic, most colorful and sculptural large specimen from limited mid-2010's finds at this rare earth element (REE) mine in a less well-known Chinese province. The matrix is granite. Purple fluorescence is strong, perhaps due to some REE elements. The rich interior is very nearly pristine, with only one hard-to-see gently bruised edge noted. The bit of noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $175 for free. Ex Jim Boteler Fluorite Collection. A very fine and rich large example from the limited find, which we brought out and sold at the time (pieces like this were $1000-2000 when they came out). Have not seen a good one for sale in awhile!
