An impressive, sculptural and rich large plate of striking, unusual, highly rounded nubby fluorite cuboctahedrons from the famous De'an mine. The imposing crystals, to 4.5 cm, have beautiful violet color, translucence and frosted stepped-growth faces. The multitude of lustrous, smaller crystals are actually quite gemmy and add pizzazz to the piece. The fluorites are aesthetically set on the quartz matrix. This very fine large example of this uncommon style is pristine and has multiple fine display possibilties. Rich purple fluorescence. Valued at $1500 and worth it.
