Striking parallel-growth clusters of bone-white barite blades are dramatically scattered on the impressive large mounded matrix of intergrown fluorite cubes from this well-known Berbes locale. The imposing barite cluster at the top is 8.0 x 7.8 cm and compound blades reach 8.3 cm. The gemmy light lavender cubes, to 3.4 cm, have appealing satin lustre faces with stepped-growth and subtle edge phantoms. For such a large piece, it is in excellent shape. The bit of bruising to the large barite cluster at the top and a few barely noticeable lightly cleaved fluorite cube corners have certainly minimal impact to the overall high quality of this very large and sculptural combination from this classic locale.
