A classic and impressive fluorite and barite combination from the well-known La Cabana area of Asturias, Spain, but in large size! La Cabana is well-known for beautiful fluorite with zoned phantoms like these sharp, gem, light lavender cubes. The limpid, very glassy cubes reach 2.1 cm and are nicely accented with stepped-growth faces and scattered bits of contrasting included black bitumen. The cubes are very aesthetically clustered on the large sculptural matrix and dramatically complemented by the striking parallel-growth cluster of bone-white barite blades. This excellent large piece is in great shape, overall. The many fluorites in the interior are pristine and the bit of noted bruising to the barites and periphery wear are certainly only modest detraction. Modest purple fluorescence.
