Large Fluorite (3 generations - rare 2016 find)

Three generations of fluorite crystals plus a patch of drusy quartz completely cover this impressive and scuptural large 360-degree knob from a small 2016 find at a very obscure locality in Zhejiang Province, China. The front is composed of densely intergrown gorgeous, gemmy rich emerald-green fluorite octahedrons with silky lustre faces. The octos reach 3.0 cm on edge. The emerald-green hue on these octos is even richer than outstanding emerald-green fluorites from Riemasvaak, South Africa. The back is dramatically different, as two more generations of densely intergrown small satin lustre purple-gray and frosted light purple crystals and an accenting patch of drusy quartz cover the piece. Quartz cores the knob. The front is pristine and the bruising lower on the back is out-of-sight. The octos GLOW, when backlit. Purple fluorescence. Outstanding quality and form.
