Item Description
Starkly contrasting patches of secondary overgrowths of clusters of tiny purplish-gray, frosted, stepped-growth fluorite cuboctahedrons and cubes are scattered on this impressive, very rich and sculptural large fluorite plate from a small 2016 find at a very obscure locality in Zhejiang Province, China. The striking 360-degree specimen is composed of densely intergrown gorgeous, gemmy rich emerald-green fluorite octahedrons with silky lustre faces. The large octo on the edge is 3.1 cm. This remarable piece has less secondary fluorite, than most we have acquired. This is a striking, colorful, impressive, rich and sculptural large fluorite from the find. The octos remind me of outstanding emerald-green fluorites from Riemasvaak, South Africa. The emerald-green hue is even richer on this amazing piece. They octos GLOW, when backlit. Purple fluorescence. Outstanding quality and pristine. The piece has several fine display views. Fairly valued at $1000-1250.
