Large Fluorite (2 generations - rare 2016 find)

An impressive, very rich and sculptural large mounded fluorite plate from a small 2016 find at a very obscure locality in Zhejiang Province, China. The striking 360-degree specimen is composed of densely intergrown gorgeous, gemmy rich emerald-green fluorite octahedrons with silky lustre faces to 3.5 cm, on edge. This plate is dramatically accented with scattered wormy secondary overgrowths of clusters of tiny purplish-gray, frosted, stepped-growth fluorite cuboctahedrons and cubes. This remarable piece has less secondary fluorite, than most we have acquired. This is a striking, colorful, impressive, rich and sculptural large fluorite from the find. The octos remind me of outstanding emerald-green fluorites from Riemasvaak, South Africa. The emerald-green hue is even richer on this amazing piece. They octos GLOW, when backlit. Purple fluorescence. Outstanding quality and pristine. The piece has several fine display views. Fairly valued at $1800-2000.
