Large Fluorite (2 generations - rare 2016 find)

Exotic, colorful and sculptural large two-generation fluorite from a small 2016 find at a very obscure locality in Zhejiang Province, China. Beautiful, gemmy rich emerald-green fluorite octahedrons, to 3.6 cm on edge, are preferentially draped with secondary overgrowths of clusters of purplish-gray, frosted, stepped-growth cuboctahedrons. Some of the octos have striking rimmed, hoppered/etched faces adding much pizzazz. The octos remind me of outstanding emerald-green fluorites from Riemasvaak, South Africa. The emerald-green hue is even richer on this fine piece. Rich purple fluorescence. A fine large rich plate from the limited find.
