Large Fluorite (2 generations - rare 2016 find)

A colorful, impressive, rich and sculptural large fluorite specimen from a small 2016 find at a very obscure locality in Zhejiang Province, China. Beautiful, gemmy rich emerald-green fluorite octahedrons, to 3.6 cm on edge, are dramatically draped with a secondary overgrowth of worm-like clusters of purplish-gray, frosted, stepped-growth cuboctahedrons. The octos remind me of outstanding emerald-green fluorites from Riemasvaak, South Africa. Rich purple fluorescence. Mass is 10.6 pounds or 4.8 kilos. Valued at $2750-3000 for high quality, rarity and size and worth it.
