Large Fluorapophyllite & Stilbite

I am generally shy of Indian apophyllites for the reason that there are so darned many of them, But, occasionally, one unique new pocket will impress me and I buy as much as I can. This happens rarely enough, though. This particular style started coming out at the end of 2013 and the combination of large squat cubic green apophyllite with pearlescent stilbite blades on large matrix just impressed me more than any apophyllite find I have seen in years. This particular piece was one of the most elegant large pieces in the lot, with a dramatic 6.3 x 6.0 x 4.1 cm "sandwich" style cube dramatically set amongst the stilbites. The basalt matrix is covered with drusy chalcedony festooned with tiny stilbites. It is complete all around the display face and perimeter. Choice and excellent large combination material. Valued at $1250-1500.
