Item Description
A superb, pristine, large, tetragonal, blocky, 9.6 x 8.3 x 7.3 cm, "sandwich-style" Fluorapophyllite crystal dramatically dominates this spectacular large, stacked combination from Nashik. The very glassy, lustrous and translucent crystal has a mint-green interior with colorless rims. It is perched atop a sculptural intergrown cluster of smaller Fluorapophyllite crystals and pretty contrasting, pearlescent pink, bladed Stilbite crystals. The matrix on the back is snow-white Mordenite, another Zeolite Group species. Mass is 1601 grams or 3.5 pounds. The basalt deposits of Maharashtra continually amaze with the world-classic specimens of Zeolite Group species, calcite and other species. An outstanding large apophyllite and stilbite combination valued at $2500-3000.
