A striking and impressive large 7.8 cm pristine terminated apatite crystal is dramatically angled on the starkly contrasting sculptural blocky juicy orange calcite matrix. The highly lustrous, moderately translucent, textbook hexagonal crystal has an interesting modified pinacoidal termination. The upper 2.5 cm of the typically layered mottled brown prism has striking sections of gemmy lime-green color, adding real pizzazz. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base, valued at $175 for free. An outstanding, larger than average apatite crystal on this very fine combination from this classic now extinct, reclaimed Quebec locale.
