Item Description
Five reddish-orange spessartine garnets to 8 mm and muscovite are embedded on one side of this very large, rare and impresssive doubly terminated floater spodumene crystal from Pech. The dramatic, waxy luster, yellow-green, tabular prism is strikingly water-clear to translucent with a frosted interior. The two frosted chisel terminations are distinctively different. Spessartine on spodumene is RARE from Pech and this is an important and rare large combination unlike any I have seen from elsewhere. I have seen the combo only on 2 other specimens, in fact, ever. Pink fluorescence. 720 grams or 1.6 pounds mass. Valued at $4000-5000. It is big, showy, and unbelieveably surprising to see.
