Large fishtail-twin Calcite (old classic)

An impressive, large, old classic from the Tri-State District. The striking, sharp, complete all-around fishtail-twin has high luster, translucence and pretty amber color. It glows, when backlit. Interestingly, the back has small plates of attached chert. Nearly pristine, with only slight rubbing along the front edge. A highly desirable and excellent old-time calcite with exceptional form.
