Item Description
Remarkable, sculptural large faden quartz from Switzerland. A faden or "string" is clearly visible on one side of the dramatic stacked cluster of glassy, lustrous, sharply doubly terminated, tabular quartz crystals. The impresive large crystal at the top is 9.0 cm long. Opposing clusters of quartz crystals on both sides add even more visual appear to this stunning large 360-degree quartz. Complete all-around and in great shape, with only a bit of barely noticeable periphery wear noted. Probably from Graubunden and with a fine provenance. It was formerly in the collection of Dr. Eric Asselborn, famous French mineral collector of France and Alpine minerals. Valued a $1750-2000 for size, quality and rarity. Seldom on the market.
