Highly lustrous midnight-blue azurite blades to 1.5 cm have gorgeous areas of electric-blue gemminess under bright light and are richly clustered on the starkly contrasting rhyolite matrix covered with the bone-white crust. Bruised areas are noted, but this remains a dramatic, excellent and highly representative large example of the species and now famous locale at a reasonable price point.
