Item Description

A stunning large Brazil quartz cluster from the well-known sandstone deposits at Corinto. A fantastic, 12.0 cm, doubly terminated crystal dominates this outstanding specimen. The glassy, highly lustrous crystals have very sharp, water-clear terminations above the translucent midsections or basal areas. The dramatic large crystal is complete all-around and is in excellent shape. Trivial bruising to both terminations and an out-of-sight contact on the backside, where another crystal once, but with no damage are noted. Periphery wear to both sides of the very complimentary attached crystals are also noted, but have negligible impact to the striking high quality of this very fine quartz. These crystals look in appearance to those produced from the sandstones in the Hot Springs area of Arkansas. Classic and excellent Brazilian quartz.
