Large DT Calcite twin (Kay Robertson Coll.)

Item Description

Classic, large doubly terminated, twinned calcite from the famed Elmwood Mine. The well-formed, lustrous, sharply terminated crystal has desirable gemmy golden-amber tips, that flank the translucent dramatically twinned center. The attachment on the back has purple fluorite, sphalerite and sparkly drusy quartz, typical accessories. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial hard-to-see termination bruising (back side) and a tiny bit of edge wear. Ex Kay Robertson Collection with no number. Kay purchased a selection of Elmwood calcites in the 1980s or 90s and this is an excellent large example of this classic style.
