Item Description
A large and most unusual calcite crystal from this famous Trap Rock quarry. The tan, lustrous and translucent crystal is a flattened, doubly terminated, skewed and bulged, pseudohexagonal rhomb. The attachment points are the zeolites on the sides. The two, flattened, basal edges have multiple faces. The crystal looks for all the world like a large cyclic-twinned cerussite from Tsumeb! The crystal itself is pristine, except for the attachments points. Rare calcite, with strange form, from this renowned extinct quarry and the Chris Korpi Collection. A must for the species and locality collector.
