large Dravite Tourmaline scepter (Nowakowski Coll.)

Item Description

This is a HUGE, remarkably complete, sceptered crystal of the dravite tourmaline from its classic locality. It is over 2 kilos, at 2108 grams or 4.6 pounds mass. Crystals from this mine have graced collections for a long time as examples of stereotypical crystal habit, and of big tourmaline. But this monster is in a class of its own, with exceptional form and luster. This one I think is worth a lot more than the usual sort of this material and far exceeds others I have handled...very impressive, in person! Valued at $1250-1500.
