Yinnietharra dravite tourmalines are generally considered to be the world's finest examples of the species. This sharp, large, doubly terminated dodecahedron has high luster, rich dark brown color and moderate translucence. Golden-amber areas leap out under bright light! The attached and embedded muscovite and quartz matrix adds color and pizzazz. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only very modest edge wear. An excellent and highly representative example of the species and locale. 1241 grams or 2.7 pounds mass.
