Large Diopside xl (Charlie Key Coll.)

Diopside crystals of this size and quality are now rare from this well-known deposit, famous for fluorapatite crystals. This is a very fine Russian diopside specimen! The impressive large crystal has a nicely-shaped velvety termination. The secondary crystal is terminated, but does have a bit of periphery wear. Both have a superb mirror-like luster and are partially gemmy/translucent, very 3-dimensional, and a deep green color. Ex Charlie Key and Robert Nowakowski Collections.
