Large curved DT Indicolite Tourmaline w/ Lepidolite

Exotic, rare style large 360-degree indicolite tourmaline from the famous Pederneira Mine. Backlighting reveals, that the very glassy, highly lustrous, translucent, well-striated, layered trigonal crystal has beautiful teal-blue color with one zone of teal-green. The very sculptural CURVED crystal is doubly terminated. The broken and rehealed termination has a fabulous tapered 4.0 cm "fan" of tiny super glassy, striated light blue 2nd generation tourmalines with subtle hints of pink along one edge and at the top. The basal termination hosts accenting clusters of lustrous lilac lepidolite crystals and small indicolite side car prisms, adding much color and pizzazz to this bizarre, yet most excellent large indicolite combination. The one clean repair above the lepidolites is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. 39 grams mass. Every turn presents a distinctively different perspective to this exotic crystal. Valued at $1000-1250.
