Item Description
A sculptural and dramatic specimen of classic Cobalt silver showing the hackly and bright look that makes them very collectible and identifiable. This fine piece is strikingly highlighted by the prominent herringbone cluster of coarse spinel-twins and the numerous, leaf-like, flattened spinel-twins along the edges. They all look like sparkling silver feathers. This is a very fine two-sided specimen and could have come out anywhere in the heyday of this mine, which operated from 1907 to 1940. It came through the noted John Durkos Collection to the Robert Hauck silver collection. This showy piece weighs about 4 ounces (127 grams). It is from the Robert Hauck Collection. Valued at $750-900 for aesthetics and size.
