Superb, dramatically artistic large arborescent floater copper specimen from the famed, historic Copper Country of the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. The stunningly formed, flattened, dendritic two-sided specimen is composed of a multitude of stacked spinel-twins. Sharp to subhedral tetrahexahedral copper crystals compose some of the tips of the "branches", adding character. Tiny fragments of glassy green datolite embedded on one side at the top add even more panache. The piece was been cleaned to bring out the lustrous, rich patina. A significant, beautifully aesthetic and sculptural large old-time crystallized from the Keweenaw. Valued at $2500-plus. This is exquisitely formed, like a tree!
