Corundum specimens of this large size are RARE from the two obscure localities MINDAT lists in Raglan Township, Ontario. This impressive, crudely hexagonal crystal has lustrous, partially translucent sections of olive-green corundum with attached granitic matrix and pearlescent muscovite plates. Old-time, very rare, large combination material. Ex L.S. Ropes, Seaman Museum and Robert Nowakowski Collections. Valued at $400. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
