Large Copper "skull" (Nowakowski & Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

A striking, extremely well-formed, nearly complete and rare copper skull from this classic locale. This was a large cobble that the molten copper flowed around and was later dissolved away. The skull has a nubby texture and there are bits of matrix and other minerals embedded in the copper. Uncommon and uncommonly fine material from this well-known area.
