Item Description
This large and dramatic arborescent crystallized copper resembles an animal or dragon, very branching and alive. It is a big, showy, display piece, complete all around and has a nice coppery patina. The overall form is that of spinel-twins, but there are many tetrahexahedral crystals at the tips of the "branches". The striking, long, spinel-twin "branch" at the base is 7.8 cm! From the well known copper collection of Richard Hauck, of New Jersey. 323 grams. Fairly valued for size, form and crystal sharpness at $3000, at a minimum.
