Superlative, sharp tetrahexahedral copper crystals with a nice patina are dramatically set along the crest of this impressive, large elongated old-time copper from the Wolverine Mine. The stunning isolated crystal on a crystal stalk is 1.7 cm and the large crystal is 2.5 cm. Green malachite and matrix embedded on both sides of the flattened piece add color and contrast. This famous mine operated intermittently from 1882 to 1925, when is closed. An exceptional large copper from the Madrid Collection. Valued at $2000-3000 for size, sculptural quality and sharp crystallization.
