Wow! A dramatic and sculptural large crystallized copper from the Keweenaw. This striking and artistic 360-degree monster is composed mostly of intergrown large spinel-twinned crystals with a nice patina. The primary large spinel-twin is about 10.5 cm long with the capping doubly terminated twin being 6.2 cm long. The fantastic sharp, 3.4 cm "tooth" with the adjacent hole adds a surreal aspect to this exceptional large specimen. And the embedded basaltic greenstone matrix and bit of quartz adds color and contrast. It has a bizarre biomorphic look with a strange head and extended "arm". An outstanding old-time Copper Country specimen from a copper collection. Valued at $2000-2500 and worth it.
