A classic and impressive large fluorite from Cave-in-Rock and the Paul Zerfass Collection # 26. Artistically intergrown, gemmy to translucent, color-zoned purple cubes have fascinating typical phantoms. The highly lustrous cubes, to 5.1 cm, have striking stepped-growth frosted faces. Scattered tiny brassy marcasite crystals add pizzazz. The bit of noted bruising is certainly only a modest detraction to this dramatic large classic. This is a very fine large example of purple fluorite from this famous locale. 7.1 pounds or 3.2 kilos mass.
