Item Description
A deceptive, impressive and rare large plate of fluorite octahedrons from the well-known Xianghualing Mine. Most fluorites from here are cubes. The striking large, densely stepped-growth, translucent octos with frosted faces appear to be blue-green, but are actually color-zoned. The interiors are light colored followed by a pretty aquamarine zone with a lighter colored outer zone. The octos reach 6.0 cm. The crystals glow, when backlit revealing the color-zoning and have bright purple fluorescence. Choice and uncommon large fluorite from the Ted Bartels Collection with multiple display views.
