Item Description
Flux Mine cerussites are a highly desirable Arizona classic from the mid 1900s and, some, older yet. Dramatic large matrix specimens of this richness and quality are RARE on the market. Striking jackstraw bundles of pearlescent splintery blades to about 4.5 cm artistically and densely fill a curved vug on the gossan matrix. This exceptional and very aesthetic large old-time specimen from the Paterson Museum probably dates to the 1950s finds, before the mine closed in 1963. Valued at $2500 for size, quality and richness. Cbinet pieces are few and far between. Note that due to fragility, this would be preferred to go for a hand delivery, but shipment in soap powder would work if you allow that a few crystals might still shake loose in transit.
