Impressive large very glassy and lustrous, transparent to translucent, tabular parallel-growth celestine crystal with striking multiple terminations from a famous find of the 1990s in Ohio. The very cute amber doubly terminated calcite crystals on either side of the base, to 1.7 cm, suggest the specimen is from the Precision Aggregates Quarry in Fremont. Mineral specimens, particularly celestine pieces, are RARE from here. This is an exceptionally gemmy and RARE celestine with excellent calcite crystals from classic old finds. A crystal this size should have easily been $1000 even back when they came out (and I know - I was 18 or 19 and paid $1000 for only the second time in my life by this time, for a similar mineral at the 1990 Chicagoland show for one of these!).
