Item Description
Uncommon and impressive large celestine crystal from Michigan. The stout, well-formed, tabular crystal is very glassy, transparent to translucent with pretty blue-gray and colorless sections. The sharp textbook chisel termination is complemented by the jagged, beveled prism edges. The rich clusters of sparkly sugary micro dogtooth calcite crystals on the front and back are super accessories and complements. This outstanding and pristine large combination is from a less well-known silica quarry near Detroit, Michigan. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection No. 14 and self-collected by him in September, 1982. Valued by Robert at $1500 a number of years ago.
