Large Celestine geode (Zerfass coll.)

Classic, gem gray-blue celestine crystals fill a sculptural geode on this impressive large specimen from the classic locale at Sakoany. The aesthetic freestanding crystal with the classic chisel termination is about 5.5 cm long and the striking large crystal attached to the walls is about 7.0 cm long. Sakoany celestines are the world's finest and this is a dramatic and excellent large richly filled geode. The hefty piece displays well without aid and the interior is pristine. Mass is 2420 grams or 5.3 pounds. MUCH BETTER in person, the gemminess and glassiness made photography difficult. Normally these "small geodes" from here do not have such good definition and character as this one.
