Classic large sharply terminated flattened celestine spearpoint from the famous White Rock Quarry at Clay Center. The very glassy transparent body has a sharp phantom below the overlying second generation translucent frosted white termination. A striking and typical feature of large celestines of this style from the quarry. Older material, as specimens of this quality were recovered prior to the late 1970s, when quarry management more severely restricted collecting. In good shape, overall. Bruising on the middle right edge and lower left edge is noted, but are certainly only modest detractions. See the 2020 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 51, No. 5.
