Item Description
This is an unusually elegant and large microcline crystal with great form and super accessories. This impressive carlsbad-twinned crystal is festooned with sparkly lavender lepidolites and scattered clusters of pearlescent cleavelandite blades. The etched/laminated face is, indeed, striking. Complete all-around, the back appears to be contacted, but having little damage, per se. A dramatic and excellent large combination feldspar crystal from this famed locale. Mass is 1.5 pounds. Ex Pala International/Bill Larson Collection. A MUST for the San Diego pegmatite collector. Valued $2000-2500. Such displayworthy specimens of aesthetic quality showing the classic Himalaya associations are hard to obtain today!
