Striking, stepped-growth faces highlight this impressive, large, colorless, gemmy calcite crystal from Dal'negorsk. Most of the crystal is water-clear, but the intense stepped-growth of the faces obscures the views into the interior. The crystal looks like a cut stone. All of the attached matrix is either bladed, lustrous or massive, chocolate-brown axinite. A striking, large two-sided calcite. Scattered contacting is noted, but there is very little actual damage. An imposing large combination calcite with rich pink-orange. A Dal'negorsk classic. Valued at $2000.
