Large Calcite with Hematite phantoms

A DRAMATIC and excellent, LARGE CABINET calcite specimen. You''re seeing the last of the Leiping calcites - this large plate is actually from a batch that was in the back room of a Chinese dealer, and we bought the only good ones left. These crystals, up to 3.1 cm across, are unusually transparent for the find, so you can very clearly see the super, star-like, hematite phantoms inside. They also have top glassy luster. These Leiping calcites are distinctive for their pretty, razor-sharp, symmetrical pyramidal terminations as well. Just a super-impressive calcite specimen from a finished find of a couple of years ago. Trivial termination wear on a few crystals, for such a large piece and the periphery wear is out of sight.
