Large Calcite w/ Galena (Soregaroli Coll.)

Sweetwater Mine calcites are a US classic and this is an impressive large combination example from the Art Soregaroli Collection. The sculptural, sail-shaped crystal is doubly terminated. The crystal body is a crackly, translucent cream color. The striking termination area has a secondary, gemmy overgrowth of amber calcite. Scattered sharp galena cuboctahedrons attached to the matrix at the base and the secondary calcite crystals are a very fine accent. Nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit on termination bruising on the back side. Choice and excellent large, 360-degree Viburnum Trend calcite.
