An exceptional, large and rare calcite combination from the extinct mercury deposits at Terlingua. A dramatic 3-dimensional plate of lustrous and translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals is richly included with honey-brown cinnabar. The spikes reach 4.0 cm and many have striking cinnabar phantoms! Complete all-around and in great shape, with just a few gently bruised terminations. Texas is generally known as a mineral wasteland, but Terlingua has furnished some outstanding exceptions and mercury rarities. Fairly valued at $2500-3000 for superb quality, size and rarity.
