A spectacular and uncommon style large calcite from the famous finds at the Brushy Creek Mine from the 1970s to 1990s The impressive sculpturally intergrown sharply terminated scalenohedrons uncommonly include both glassy, lustrous, transparent amber and gray crystals. The stepped-growth faces add much character. A fantastic and classic Brushy Creek highlight is the striking opposing gemmy 10.2 cm scalenohedron in the front with two phantoms. This crystal and two more crystals have very interesting development. The original scalenohedrons were all covered with chalcopyrite and marcasite and then the calcite began growing again. This process was repeated again in this dramatic crystal. Complete all-around and in great shape. The calcites are coated on the back side. The attachments are at the bottom and on one end.
