An impressive and beautiful large complex calcite crystal with two striking terminations aesthetically set on the spare matrix of creamy crenelated barite blades from the renowned Elmwood Mine. The very glassy and lustrous crystal is entirely water-clear and both of the distinctively different looking terminations have the gorgeous, highly desirable golden-amber color, for which Elmwood calcites are famous. There is also an impressive well-developed twinning plane on one side of the crystal, adding even more pizzazz. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial wilbers to both tips and a small edge bruise by the twinning plane. Outstanding gemminess, color and form on this very fine large combination from this famed locale. Ex Consie Prince Collection dating to the 1980s. Valued at $1000-1250.
